What should have been the last great hurrah of Cyrus’s senior year ends in a tragic accident. A moment of klutziness during spring break lands him in the hospital with a threatening eye injury. The end result? Cyrus gets to wear an eye patch for the remainder of high school.
But while Cyrus mourns his pathetic new social status and the loss of his athletic career, something else seems to be afoot. What started out as a few weird dreams suddenly morphs into life-altering visions, all set on by the eye injury. While his brothers tease him about looking like a pirate, Cyrus begins to suspect his clumsiness might not have been an accident after all. Plagued by historic visions and armed with his eye-patch, Cyrus heads back to the scene of his fall. What he finds is a legend that began hundreds of years earlier, and a magical seerstone meant to lead him on a quest. Oh, and a waitress that makes Cyrus reconsider what he really wants out of life…she is totally hot.
He discovers he’s not the only one who wants the peculiar seerstone. When a serial killer, hell-bent on avenging his miserable life, sets his sight on the stone, Cyrus realizes his quest is off to a rocky start and about to come to a dead end. Cyrus’s life is thrown into chaos and confusion as he realizes what was once important to him no longer matters at all.
